Writing and content

Words that doa job, not wordsthat fill a space.

Most business writing says nothing a competitor could not also say. Good copy is specific, and specificity is what makes it persuasive.

Overview

Read the About page of five businesses in the same industry and you will usually find the same paragraph five times: committed to quality, customer focused, dedicated team, years of experience. It is not untrue. It is simply not evidence, and it does not help anybody choose.

Specific beats impressive

"We answer the phone" is a weaker sentence than "committed to excellence in customer service" and a far more convincing one, because it describes something that can actually be verified. Our job is to find the specific, provable things about your business and put them where buyers will see them.

Written for search and for humans

Content that is optimised but tedious does not get read, shared, or linked to, and search engines have become good at noticing. Content that is beautifully written but ignores how people actually search never gets found in the first place. Both parts matter.

Written by people

We use research tools extensively and we do not publish generated filler. Bulk produced content is easy to recognise, it says nothing only your business could say, and increasingly it simply does not rank.

What we write

Website copy, service and location pages, articles, email campaigns, social content, case studies, and the unglamorous but valuable material like FAQ pages that quietly answer the questions your sales team fields every day.

In your voice

We start by listening to how you talk about your business, particularly how you explain it to a customer who is unsure. That explanation is usually much better than anything currently on the website.

Common questions

Questions weget asked a lot.

Do you use AI to write content?

We use research and analysis tools extensively, and we do not publish generated filler. The problem with bulk generated content is not that a machine touched it, it is that the output says nothing only your business could say. That is exactly what fails to rank and fails to persuade.

How much content do we actually need?

Fewer, better pages beat a large volume of thin ones, every time. Most businesses are better served by twelve genuinely useful pages than by sixty that each half answer a question.

Who owns the writing?

You do, completely, including if you leave. We do not license content back to clients or retain any rights to it.

Will it sound like us?

That is the intention. We start by listening to how you explain your business to a customer who is unsure, because that explanation is almost always better than what is currently on the website.
