Email marketing

The audience you alreadyown, and nobodycan take away.

Every other channel is rented. Algorithms change, ad costs rise, platforms fall out of favor. Your email list is the one audience that remains yours.

Overview

Email is routinely dismissed as old fashioned and routinely outperforms almost everything else on return per pound spent. That is not a coincidence. It reaches people who have already told you they are interested, in a place they check every day, without an intermediary deciding how many of them get to see it.

Growing a list that is worth having

A large list of people who do not remember signing up is a liability, not an asset. It damages your deliverability and it annoys people. We would rather build a smaller list of people who genuinely opted in and actually want to hear from you.

Automated sequences that work while you do not

A welcome sequence for new subscribers, a follow up for people who inquired but did not book, a re-engagement sequence for customers who have gone quiet, and reminders timed around your buying cycle. Written once, then earning quietly in the background.

Campaigns people open

The subject line decides whether anything else matters. Beyond that, the rule is simple: be useful more often than you are promotional. Lists that only ever receive sales messages stop being opened, and then stop being lists.

Deliverability is technical work

Authentication records, sending reputation, list hygiene, and bounce management determine whether your email reaches the inbox or the spam folder. Most businesses never look at any of this until something breaks.

Measured properly

Opens have become an unreliable metric thanks to privacy protections. Clicks, replies, and revenue attributed to email are what we report on.

What is included

What the workactually involves.

List growth

Signup paths that produce subscribers who actually want to hear from you, with proper consent recorded.

Automated sequences

Welcome, follow up, re-engagement and post purchase sequences that run without anyone remembering to send them.

Campaign writing and design

Newsletters and promotions written and built to look right on a phone, which is where most of them are read.

Deliverability

Authentication set up correctly, list hygiene maintained, and sending reputation monitored.

Segmentation

Different messages to different groups, because your prospects and your long term customers are not the same audience.

Reporting

Clicks, inquiries and revenue attributed to email, rather than open rates that no longer mean much.

Common questions

Questions weget asked a lot.

How often should we be emailing?

For most businesses, monthly is the floor and weekly is the ceiling. Less than monthly and people forget who you are, which drives up unsubscribes when you do appear. More than weekly requires genuinely having something worth saying each time, and most businesses do not.

Our list is small. Is it worth doing?

Usually yes. A list of three hundred past customers who know and like you is more commercially valuable than thirty thousand cold addresses, and it costs almost nothing to email. Small lists are also where the growth work has the most obvious effect.

Which platform do you use?

Whatever suits your situation, and the account is yours. We commonly work with Mailchimp, Constant Contact, and Klaviyo for ecommerce. If you already have a platform your team knows, we would generally rather use it than force a migration.

Could this damage our sending reputation?

It can, if it is done carelessly. Emailing purchased lists, ignoring bounces, or sending without proper authentication all cause real harm that takes months to undo. Handled properly, none of that happens.
