Website redesign
Rebuild the sitewithout throwing awaythe rankings.
The most expensive mistake in a redesign is launching a beautiful new site that quietly loses the search visibility the old one spent years earning.
Overview
We have been called in to repair this more than once. A business invests in a redesign, the new site launches, everyone is pleased with how it looks, and then enquiries fall off a cliff. Nobody notices for six weeks because nobody was watching the right numbers.
It happens because URLs changed without redirects, or content was trimmed for visual tidiness, or the new build was slower than the old one, or the whole staging site was accidentally left blocked from search engines. All of it is preventable.
We start with what you already have
Before design begins we take a full inventory: every indexed URL, every page that currently ranks, current titles and descriptions, existing traffic, and the pages producing enquiries. That inventory becomes the checklist the new site is measured against.
Keep what works
If a page ranks well, we do not casually rewrite it or delete it because it does not fit a new layout. Where a URL genuinely has to change, it gets a permanent redirect to the closest equivalent so the accumulated value follows it across.
Fix what does not
A redesign is the right moment to deal with duplicate pages competing for the same term, thin content, slow loading, poor mobile experience, and confusing navigation. These are usually the reasons the old site underperformed.
Launch carefully, then watch closely
We verify redirects before launch, resubmit the sitemap after, and monitor rankings, crawl errors, and enquiries for the weeks that follow. If something moves in the wrong direction we want to catch it in days rather than discover it in a quarterly review.
Is it time?
Usually yes if your site is more than five years old, is difficult to use on a phone, takes more than three seconds to load, cannot be updated without a developer, or no longer reflects what your business actually does now.
